The University of Maroua, the Club du Sahel and the ADCS (Association for the Development of the Northern Cameroon) are organizing the first International Meeting: "New technical issues, prospects, economic and social for the northern Cameroon region at the 2035 horizon. The Symposium to be held on the 12th, 13th and 14th December 2012 in Maroua and will be organized every three (03) years. It plans to capitalize the contributions of the Diaspora for an emerging Cameroon by the horizon 2035.
The first edition focuses partly on the theoretical and practical training in social economics and project management, in renewable energy and on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and on the other hand the creation of a medium for scientific meeting, and exchange between researchers (students, trainers), industrials and economic operators. This first Symposium at the University of Maroua aims at the effective implementation of the collaboration between the Diaspora, higher education and economic operators for sustainable endogenous development.
The themes of the symposium will address the technological challenges, economic and social prospective for Cameroon in the current context. Thus Cameroon hosts highly qualified human resources on which the preparation of an emerging Cameroon for the 2035 horizon could be focused on.
The first symposium will therefore concentrate its sessions to key questions such as endogenous development, sustainable development and its implications in the era of Information Technology and Communication, the labor market in the era of OFFSHORE services for Western companies seeking more and more skilled and cheaper manpower, the knowledge of economy and conditions for higher productivity.
